Rumor: PS4 is 50 percent faster than the Xbox One - Eurogamer.pt

Until the launch

improvements may occur on both consoles.

PS4 is about 50 percent faster than the Xbox One, according to Edge magazine, which supports information citing multiple sources involved in the production of video games.

Apparently, readings memories of PS4 can be between 40 to 50 percent faster than the rival console. The same happens with the ALU (Arithmetic Logic Unit), which is 50 percent faster.

To demonstrate the power differences between the consoles, a producer gave an example: a game produced without platform can run at 30FPS with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 in PS4, while the Xbox One would be somewhere in 20FPS and with a resolution 1600 × 900.

However, differences can be shortened. Neither Sony nor Microsoft has released the final graphic drivers for their consoles. Until the launch improvements may still occur. In the case of Xbox One, we’ve seen it happen with increasing frequency of the processor and graphics.

But there are situations where the Xbox One is better than the PS4, for example, if the memory is being used and there is very little use of textures or ALU (Arithmetic Logic Unit). In this case, the Xbox One will be faster.

None of this is confirmed, it is worth recalling.
