Nokia CEO will earn 18.8 million euros from the sale of ... - TeK.sapo

Microsoft announced the purchase of the mobile phone business of Nokia earlier this month, by which will pay 5.4 billion euros. At the same time, the companies revealed that Stephen Elop leave immediately as the CEO of the company, in a kind of transition before departure for Microsoft, which will lead a new division of mobile devices and mobility in the U.S. giant. The agreement signed with the manager, for the immediate cessation of duties as CEO, has been matched by a premium of 18.8 million euros (future wages and bonuses), a value that Finnish press ensures that it will be funded 70% by Microsoft.

The same sources reveal that the amount payable to the manager still needs to be approved by the shareholders of Nokia a meeting to be held on 19th and November.
