The Dryft is an alternative to the existing virtual keyboards for tablets, having been founded by the co-founder of Swype, a popular alternative for iPhone, iPad and Android

The segment of virtual keyboards is fairly popular in smartphones and have improved enough to experience some of this equipment. When it comes to the tablet market, however, the story seems to change completely – there’s simply no proper or popular solution that allows us to circumvent the horrible experience of a virtual keyboard on a tablet. It is this perspective that Dryft plans to eventually change.

The company was founded by co-founder of the ever popular Swype, Randy Marsden, in partnership with Rob Chaplinsky, Bridgescale the VC. The company already has some patented innovations that use sensors to touch the tablet but also the accelerometers so you can be recognized when a user is typing or just to rest. In turn, this technology also permitye users to keep their fingers on the keyboard constantly since the software can recomnhecer the difference between a hand and a hand button relaxes.

The Dryft has been described as the first dynamic key for tablets that “keys automaticamernte way around the fingers of the user, eliminating the need to feel the buttons.” A statement that is certainly bold and could split oponiões but that does not invalidate the interest that Dryft has awaken in the industry.

For now the only encopntra Dryft still in beta, since the company is looking for device manufacturers, developers and investors for potential partnerships.
